The inspiration behind "Flow" painting is driven by a connection with my surroundings at the time and by the idea of letting go of restrictions. I had not experimented on a wood panel before and I was surprised to realise how easy the brush strokes were flowing and how it allowed me to build up layers and textures. Fascinated by how light interacts with the sky, I intended to use a lot of bright colors and a few tints of gold. It's entitled "Flow" because it's shaped by the thought of letting go, which is so important for creating new ideas.
